একটি দেশ এর মূল ভিত্তি হচ্ছে সে দেশের আইন। আইন ছাড়া যে কোনও দেশের নিয়ম শৃংখলা বজায় থাকত না। দেশের আভ্যন্তরীন শান্তি বজায় রাখার জন্য সংযোজন করা হয়েছে নানা রকম আইন।
