The CHIPS Money Manager app provides various methods of transacting – all transactions are effected in real-time with the immediate updating of the Users balance and transaction history. Purchasing of goods and services are facilitated at a wide variety of payment points and several methods of payment are available to enable unrestricted transactional capabilities to pay for goods and services at business entities that are integrated with any one of the listed payment methods below:
• At CHIPS®-enabled merchants
• At Masterpass-enabled merchants
• At wiCode-enabled merchants
• At SnapScan-enabled merchants
Users can purchase prepaid mobile products directly via the CHIPS Money Manager mobile app from all the Mobile Network Operators (Vodacom, MTN, CellC, etc.) including:
• Airtime
• Data and SMS bundles
Users can withdraw cash from the funds available in their CHIPS Money Manager account:
• By using a cardless ATM voucher option available on the app.
• Users can also withdraw cash from tills at Shoprite/Checkers stores countrywide.
Fees associated with transactions are displayed to the user for authorisation, before the payment is initiated. Users can fund their CHIPS Money Manager wallet from the app or with a cash deposit at any Pay@ kiosk available nationwide. Users can easily send money to other CHIPS Money Manager users instantly! With CHIPS Money Manager you are notified of all payments made into your account and the money is available immediately for you to use. No money is ever taken out of your account without your authorisation – e.g. charges, penalties or debit orders.
