El Libro de Melquisedec es una traducción al español de uno de los Rollos del Mar Muerto encontrado en la cueva número 11, en el desierto de Qumrán, al norte del Mar Muerto. Algunos le llaman el Gran Rollo de Melquisedec, ya que en su estado original, consiste en un conjunto de 7 rollos cosidos entre sí.

Según fuentes relacionadas con este Gran Rollo y lo que se lee en el manuscrito, el primer rollo que aparece en el compendio, lo escribió Abraham, el mismo personaje que encontramos en el Libro de Génesis en la Biblia. Este rollo fue registrado por la mano de Abraham en obediencia al mandato divino de Yahwéh, y narra los acontecimientos que ocurrieron tiempo antes y tiempo después de la Gran Liberación que Yahwéh efectuó por medio de Abraham y sus pastores, en aquélla ocasión en que se liberó a Lot y los demás cautivos quienes habían sido tomados prisioneros como consecuencia de la batalla registrada en Genesis capítulo 14. A esta primer historia registrada por Abraham se le conoce como La Historia de Un Vaso.

También se le mandó a Abraham registrar la Historia de Salem, la cual él escucharía y recibiría "de los labios de Melquisedec", narrando los acontecimientos más relevantes de aquélla Ciudad Amada.

El capítulo 13 de la Historia de Salem es una conexión directa con la siguiente historia llamada La Historia del Universo, ya que en ese capítulo se explica el contexto en que se recibió la revelación por conducto del ángel de Luz.

Esta Historia, entendemos por lo referido de la fuente, y según lo registrado en estos rollos, fue escrita por Melquisedec y registrada en seis rollos que fueron cosidos uno a uno junto con el primer rollo escrito por Abraham. La Historia del Universo es una revelación que Melquisedec recibió por medio de "un ángel luminoso" o ángel de Luz, y la cual estuvo registrando en esos seis rollos durante seis años.
The Melchizedek Book is a Spanish translation of one of the Dead Sea Scrolls found in cave number 11, in the Qumran desert, north of the Dead Sea. Some call it the Great Melchizedek Roll, since in its original state, it consists of a set of 7 rolls sewn together.

According to sources related to this Great Roll and what is read in the manuscript, the first scroll that appears in the compendium was written by Abraham, the same character we found in the Book of Genesis in the Bible. This scroll was recorded by Abraham's hand in obedience to Yahweh's divine mandate, and recounts the events that occurred long before and long after the Great Liberation that Yahweh made through Abraham and his shepherds, on that occasion when he was released Lot and the other captives who had been taken prisoner as a result of the battle recorded in Genesis chapter 14. This first story recorded by Abraham is known as The Story of a Vessel.

Abraham was also commanded to record the Salem Story, which he would listen to and receive "from the lips of Melchizedek", telling the most relevant events of that Beloved City.

Chapter 13 of Salem's Story is a direct connection to the following story called The History of the Universe, since in that chapter the context in which the revelation was received through the angel of Light was explained.

This History, we understand from the source, and as recorded in these rolls, was written by Melchizedek and recorded in six rolls that were sewn one by one along with the first scroll written by Abraham. The History of the Universe is a revelation that Melchizedek received through "a luminous angel" or angel of Light, and which he was recording in those six scrolls for six years.
