Changes On 2.4.2 : "TCP Pings" are now available; they emulate a ping via opening a TCP socket. This is useful if Android does not support ICMP Pings (like on numerous Samsung devices), or if the host in question does not respond to ICMP pings.
Ping widgets also support TCP pings, they can now be individually paused, and they can be resized if you're cramped for screen space.
During a Traceroute it's now possible to send ping counts other than 3 per hop, and the average ping time and the loss rate are reported.
