APK Description:

A informação sobre a sismicidade constante nesta APP é gerada pelo sistema de vigilância sísmica do IPMA, distribuído pelos Centros operacionais do Continente e dos Açores, com recurso à rede sísmica nacional instalada no Continente e nos arquipélagos dos Açores e da Madeira a qual é complementada com estações sísmicas pertencentes a outra agências internacionais. Relativamente aos sismos com origem mais afastada do território nacional apenas é disponibilizada informação dos que são registados pela instrumentação da rede sísmica a operar em Portugal, tipicamente apenas os de magnitude maior que 5.0.
The information on the seismicity contained in this APP is generated by the IPMA seismic surveillance system, distributed by the Operational Centers of the Mainland and the Azores, using the national seismic network installed in the Mainland and in the archipelagos of the Azores and Madeira, which is complemented with seismic stations belonging to other international agencies. With regard to earthquakes with a distant origin from the national territory, only information is available from those recorded by the instrumentation of the seismic network operating in Portugal, typically only those of magnitude greater than 5.0.
