نغمه در ۱ ژانویه سال ۱۹۶۴ در شهر قندهار به دنیا آمد. هنگام کودکی وی، خانواده‌اش به کابل کوچیدند و او تحصیلات ابتدائی را در لیسه عینو قندهار دوره ثانویه و عالی را در دبستان رابعه بلخی کابل فرا گرفت. نغمه آوازخوانی را با خواندن تصنیف‌ها در مدرسه آغاز کرد و در ۱۸ سالگی به تلویزیون افغانستان معرفی شد.اولین آهنگ وی بنام (سوزم په غموکی په چلنده زمانی) بود که توسط حامد حسینی کمپوز گردیده ثبت نوار رادیو تلویزیون ملی افغانستان گردید. نغمه در سال ۱۳۶۰ هجری شمسی با منگل یکی از آوازخوان پشتو زبان ازدواج نمود. وی به همراه با منگل همسر اولش زوج هنری موفقی بودند ولی در سال ۲۰۰۴ مناسبات آنها خراب گردید. آهنگهای زیادی ازین دوره از خود بجا گذاشته‌اند. او از مدت ده سال بدینسو با پسر مولوی محمدنبی محمدی یکتن از رهبران جهادی ازدواج بار دوم را نمود. وی اکنون کنسرتهای هنری در اروپا آمریکا اجرا می‌کند. نغمه دارای چهار فرزند است که دو دختر آن بنام لیمه مدینه و دو پسر آن بنام انور و خیبر در ایالات متحده آمریکا حیات بسر می‌برند. او در چهارده سالگی آغاز به سرودن شعر آغاز نمود. دیوان شعری دارد که بنام (آئینه شکسته یا ماتی آئینه) یاد می‌شود.

Naghmeh was born on January 1, 1964 in the city of Kandahar. As a child, his family moved to Kabul, where he completed his primary education at Ainu Kandahar High School and his secondary education at Rabia Balkhi Primary School in Kabul. Naghmeh started singing by singing songs at school and was introduced to Afghan television at the age of 18. His first song was "Suzem Pe Ghomuki Pe Chalandeh Zamani" which was compiled by Hamed Hosseini and recorded on the Afghan National Radio and Television. Naghmeh married Mangal, one of the Pashto singers, in 1981. He and his first wife, Mangal, were a successful artistic couple, but their relationship broke down in 2004. They have left many songs from this period. For the second time in ten years, she married Rumi's son, Mohammad Nabi Mohammadi, one of the jihadi leaders. He is currently performing art concerts in Europe and the United States. Naghmeh has four children, two daughters, Limeh Medina, and two sons, Anwar and Khyber, who live in the United States. At the age of fourteen, he began composing poetry. The court has a poem called (broken mirror or matte mirror).
